The official Japanese card record identifies this as Team Rocket's Houndoom, SV10 100/098 AR from Glory of Team Rocket, illustrated by nagimiso. It is a Stage 1 Fire-type card with 130 HP. The two attacks are Evil Seed, which burns and confuses the opponent's Active Pokemon, and Burn Out, which asks the player to discard an attached Energy. Even before the text is read, the illustration has already told us what kind of card this is: heat, risk, control.

The Action

Houndoom fills the upper half of the picture and leans downward. The card is all pressure: flames climbing across the snout, fangs bared, claws thrown forward, the collar catching the light, and those curved horns locking the whole silhouette into place. Even the body is twisted mid-lunge. It feels less posed than unleashed.

Silver's placement is the clever part. He is overshadowed, but not diminished. He sits low in the frame, almost compressed under Houndoom's weight, yet his expression stays composed. The face is calm, the posture is controlled, and the upward angle makes him look less like a victim of the composition than the person directing it.

That is what turns the card into a power pair. Houndoom first captures the attention: the threat, the heat, the movement. Silver is the second read: commanding, confident, and cool enough to hold the scene together. The relationship is not gentle companionship. It is controlled force.

nagimiso keeps the palette tight. Black, orange and acid green do most of the work. The small green sparks around the lower half stop the image from becoming a single wall of flame, while the darker areas around Houndoom make the mouth and claws feel sharper.

As a collectible, the card has an obvious character hook, but the stronger reason to linger is the staging. This is not only a Team Rocket card with a popular Pokemon, but also a compact piece of villain composition: Houndoom unleashed above, Silver commanding below, the heat between them, and a battle effect that feels exactly as uncomfortable as the image looks.
